I had the pleasure of shooting with my friend Brenda the other weekend. I helped out last minute with this wedding because her mom became very ill and went into the hospital and is still there now. I was happy to be able to help Brenda and step in for her sister so she could stay and care for their mom. I don’t know how Brenda managed the day but she was strong and made it through. Please pray for Brenda’s mother and her family as it is much needed right now.
This wedding was a fun one for me. It was at the Renaissance Festival! The festival is held here in the spring with lots of art vendors, entertainment and shows, and many creative attendants!
It was different from any other wedding I have shot. But it was so unique! I came to help after the ceremony was over and was there to capture the reception and fun going on at the feast! Lots of entertainment, tricks, and comedic antics!
The reception was held in the Pleasure Feast Castle
Love the delicate butterfly on her bouquet and the elaborate colors of the peacock shawl worn by the groom’s mother.
The large dining room all ready for a FEAST!
The happy couple’s entrance!
The Queen stopped by and gave a well wish and toasted the couple.
Lots of great entertainment!
After the reception dinner we headed out to the walk the festival and get some portraits of the couple.
I had this idea in my head but needed some children! And I wanted children that were in costume. So as we walked around some more a group of children happened to come skipping by singing songs. It was perfect for what I was envisioning! These are my favorite from the day. Congrats to the happy couple!
I had so much fun there that I went back the following weekend with my family to have some fun and eat some giant turkey legs!!
