Happy New Year!!! Hope everyone is getting back to the grind and making the transition okay LOL! I am slowly getting there. My kids are still not quite back to school so we are still in play mode around here. Though I have been getting a ton of “home” things I have been wanting done and it feels good!! I even busted out the drill this week! I got asked yesterday “how do you keep your house so neat and organized with the kids being home?” Eeeeeee! That made me sooo happy!! Because seriously organized and neat are NOT words that describe me! Don’t get me wrong I am not a hot mess either by any means, hahaha. I do get things done and there is a “method” to my madness. I am just more left brained, creative and random, everything is organized in my head and if you are lucky to get in there then you MIGHT be able to figure out how my mind works =)…………….. My poor husband. Here is a glimspe into our closets that I haven’t gotten to yet this week. His side is color coordinated all shirts facing the same way……..and mine……not so much. This is actually pretty good for me. Most my clothes are at least on hangers and not the floor. And I just noticed there is a blue shirt in the wrong spot on his side! I think I hung that one up…..Oooops, sorry babe! Don’t you love how God puts you with the one who balances you? Could you imagine my closet if I was with someone as random as me?!? I think my friend Alex would die! ha!

However for 2012 I have actually made a some resolutions! I normally don’t just because I like to just go with the flow and do whatever, that’s the hippie in me. However I do believe in a BALANCED Life and now since I am home more and have more time, I thought I would try it and so far so good and I am loving it! So while I get myself together for a few more days……..I will be back to blogging some amazing family sessions next week when the kiddos are out of my hair. And hopefully some fun DIY projects if I stick to my resolutions list! Have a great weekend!
This is the cutest little family!! Dad is an electrician and is awesome! I just love the playfulness, love, and light of this session. Baby is such a cutie and LOVES to play with her daddy……I love seeing that!! Enjoy!

One of my favorites from the session…….the one of mom and baby, just beautiful!

Love this moment! So cute…….the hand in the back pocket too……….

Such a cutie!

I have a TON of sessions to blog! It has been a blessed Holiday Portrait Season! I adore and appreciate every single one of my clients ……….past and new ones! Thank you so so so much for letting me in to your little families and capturing a glimpse of the love you share all the time! I am so grateful for the gift of a photography eye and love to share how I see with you and your families. Your texts, emails, and calls after viewing your session for the first time is the best motivation to keep perfecting my art! Thank you All again SO MUCH!
This next family I just adore!! They have been close friends since forever and we love them so much! This session was a big with with 2 families so I will have a part two……….maybe 3! Their girls are so GORGEOUS and unique with stunning hair, skin, and doey eyes! I absolutely LOVE shooting at my clients homes. I do it a lot. I think almost all my portrait sessions were at their homes except a few. I love the look, I love the challenge of finding the perfect spots of light and it gives my clients a session that is truly theirs! And they had the perfect home to do a shoot at……………..and if they don’t then I go next door to the neighbor’s LOL!! This was shot in their neighbors yard! Ha! I just loved the look of their garage door………….

Mom is sooooo Gorgeous and sweet! Apples don’t fall far from the tree………

I LOVEEE this series! Little is not as shy as she plays out to be……..there is a smirk behind those big eyes!

These are probably my favorite shots. I was playing around with light and shot these in the bathroom! Loving the soft glow!

Thanks again H family!
Over the Vetern’s Day holiday weekend I had the opportunity to photograph T & M wedding at the beautiful Villa Siena! I adored this couple so much! Such a beautiful couple! There were some major circumstances that happened during their wedding day and even with all that was going on these two were strong and so positive and enjoyed their special day together all the while supporting and being supported by all of their friends and family. It was such a feel good sense of family and community at this wedding and I just enjoyed the night despite all that happened. Everyone one was in great spirits and celebrated the couple and showered them with so much love! Thank you T& M! I wish you the best new life together!!

Love this lil’ session and this lil’ family! I first met Cindy when she contacted me and inquired about a one on one mentor session. She was a co-worker of my sister’s and had been following my photography journey. Since then she has been my “mentee” and I love to watch her and her photography grow! She cracks me up and calls me “Bono” for some reason and even sends me with cards with him on it! LOL. She has assisted and second shot with me on several occasions and is quickly becoming a “rockstar” in her own right! I love her enthusiasm to learn! She intently listens to my ramblings, scribbling on scratch paper, and puts everything I say to test! In many ways she is helping ME be more confidant in my knowledge, teaching abilities and skills!! Thank you so much Cindy!!
We decided to hit up the State fair for their session. It was a bit overwhelming as there was SO much stimuli for the kids and hard to keep their attention! I love the challenge and love how their session turned out. So bright and fun…….just like their lil family!
Both of her boys have such piercing blue eyes!!

Love their faces in these…….look at Dad in the background……hahaha!!!

Thank you Cindy for everything you do!!!!

How cute are my nephews? Don’t they look like little fratboys in the making?? They were killing me at their session with all the faces! My sister has some heartbreakers on her hands! Enjoy!

LOVE my little nephew’s face here giving his mom’s the “eye”……..

Mr. P for president!!

Such a handsome lil’ dude!

This one kills me!! Look at the lean and the smirk!

Silly boys wouldn’t look at me………..

My faves! Love my sister and her boys!

I am way behind in blogging this session! We did this midsummer and had to reschedule due to Phoenix’s crazy haboobs! This day it was a little dusty but not as bad a the few day earlier. Crazy those dang haboobies! This was for brother’s big 3 Year old photos. I love visiting with them a few times a year and seeing how he has grown! Enjoy!

For some reason the one of him walking away is my fave!! I just love his too cool for school vibe and nonchalant expression!

We took a few of mom and sister too!

Stay tuned for sister’s first year photos next month!

Earlier this month I got together with these young brothers and just hung out with the guys! I did one of the brothers’ senior photos last year so this time we got all the boys together for some brotherly bonding. I have a son myself and an Asian one at that, so I was having fun with them and just loving their look! Each different and unique! Quite handsome young men and so fun!

I won’t tell you what his brother was doing to make him laugh…….but it worked……..and I love it!

And then last weekend I got together with their Mom to get some quick headshots of her………yes, I said MOM!
