I am awaiting this one’s new bundle of joy soon in the next week.  We got together a few weeks ago to capture her second child…….another momma who is being surprised and doesn’t know the sex!  I love it! I loved all the accessories and bright colors mom  brought for the shoot.  And THAT HAIR. Gorgeous……… I want it…….or just play with it =).  I will get pregnant if it insures me hair like that! Kinda funny though cause I love to play and style long hair and I think it looks so beautiful on clients at the salon, but I can’t stand my own hair long, *sigh*.  Currently trying to grow mine out and so far I have  been good but REALLY fighting the urge to chop especially with summer approaching!

It always amazes me how relaxing the wedding day is for the groom’s, LOL!  Many play golf, hang out at the pool, and of course drink all day! Ha! Doing what they do best right?!? =)

In Inspirador‘s bridal suite. She had her parent’s wedding photo and her late mother’s photo displayed out where ever she went. Instead of favors thecouple donated to cancer research on behalf of her beautiful mother and the donation cards were made from one of their engagment photos….

Loved this shot of her soon-to-be father in law taking a peek while we were taking her bridals!!

Now I get asked at bride consultations if I bring a second shooter and why. I ALWAYS have a 2nd photographer for many reasons. One of them being, I can’t be everywhere at once. There is a lot of things going on a wedding day and I LOVE  having all the different aspects of the day. Here Larry caught the groom’s reactions during the first look………love it!! You can see his surprise and then that moment sinks in in the last shot where he just holds her…………

And I caught hers. My favorite part of firstlooks is when the couples check each other out! haha! See her showing him her hairpiece……love it…….

If you have never been to Inspirador in Chandler, they have a great cocktail hour room that displays various artwork so we worked a few shots in there…….

I never have to tell these two what to do. I just sit there,……watch………  and let them love on each other. They just vibe together effortlessly. Perfection.

Then we went out for a little grundge (what I like =) )  in Downtown Chandler.  I found this sweet spot of light which I wished I could have worked a little more but it was a parking spot and a woman was right behind me waiting to park and I didn’t know! LOL!

If I have time (which is very rare) I do love to make and give gifts. This year I did not schedule any work the week before Christmas and the kids and I baked (also very rare!) and made lots of crafts! We decorated cupcakes, painted plaster ornaments, made cookies, and painted pictures for Santa.  We also made gifts for all the Grandparents and my husband thanks to Promise Tangeman!  She is so ah-mazing! I have been following her work for awhile now and she is SUCH  a talented artist, designer, and photographer.  Super cute and fun too! I found her blog last year and so wanted to do it then.  So this year when she posted this video  (yes, that is Brooke White from AI!), I was totally inspired.

My Daughter is seriously a mini Promise so I had her help me………

This part totally reminded me of one of my favorite movies of all time………….

And we made this for Daddy! This is him opening it and right before he cried……..just kiddin =)……

Though he did say it was one of his favorite gifts, the other being the decoupage lamp I made him in high school, hahaha……

We also made gifts for the Grandparents.  My mother in law inspired these. I got her a silhouette of my daughter when she was 2 at her preschool a few years back and she loved it.  Since then she has collected a few more vintagy ones  at thrift stores and framed them and has a collage wall of them.  So I decided she needed some of people she knew! So I followed this tutorial and made some of the kids for her!  Then we used the same process that we used for my husband’s gift and created the paintings too!

FUN huh?!?  Creative, meaningful, and so much better than being out in the craziness and stress of the mall!  Bonus!
