Hope everyone is getting back to the grind and making the transition okay LOL! I am slowly getting there. My kids are still not quite back to school so we are still in play mode around here.  Though I have been getting a ton of “home” things I have been wanting done and it feels good!!  I even busted out the drill this week! I  got asked yesterday  “how do you keep your house so neat and organized with the kids being home?” Eeeeeee!  That made me sooo happy!!  Because seriously organized and neat are NOT words that describe me!  Don’t get me wrong I am not a hot mess either by any means, hahaha.  I do get things done and there is a “method” to my madness.  I am just more left brained, creative and random, everything is organized in my head and if you are lucky to get in there then you MIGHT be able to figure out how my mind works =)……………..   My poor husband. Here is a glimspe into our closets that I haven’t gotten to yet this week.  His side is color coordinated all shirts facing the same way……..and mine……not so much. This is actually pretty good for me. Most my clothes are at least on hangers and not the floor.  And I just noticed there is a blue shirt in the wrong spot on his side!  I think I hung that one up…..Oooops, sorry babe! Don’t you love how God puts you with the one who balances you? Could you imagine my closet if I was with someone as random as me?!? I think my friend Alex would die! ha!

 

However for 2012 I have actually made a some resolutions!  I normally don’t just because I like to just go with the flow and do whatever, that’s the hippie in me. However I do believe in a BALANCED Life and now since I am home more and have more time, I thought I would try it and so far so good and I am loving it!  So while I get myself together for a few more days……..I will be back to blogging some amazing family sessions next week when the kiddos are out of my hair.  And hopefully some fun DIY projects if I stick to my resolutions list!   Have a great weekend!

He has been so great so far and the kids absolutely  love him. He is a little over a year. We used to have a great dane who passed away when my son was born so we have been wanting to get a dog again.  We happened to fall upon him who needed a home since the owner couldn’t take him. And he has been a huge blessing for our family. Needless to say he is still a pup so I have the 3rd kid I have been praying for! Ha!  He got sick a few weeks after we got him so I was worried sick for him for about 2 weeks! Luckily his blood work came back negative for Valley Fever. He got over his bug and now is a crazy boxer again =).  But during the time he got sick, he got bite by some ants when he would just lay and plop in the grass cause he was so lethargic. Yeah, is eyes swelled up shut!! He looked like a real boxer who got knocked in the face!! So I was freaking out he was having an reaction to his antibiotics, then he flippin’ broke out in hives!!! OMgosh people, worry worse than a child because he can’t talk! Anyway he is is back to his Cash Money Millionaire self and I couldn’t be more happy!

I update on my facebook page more often so I would love for you to join me there.  I have had a busy few weeks.  We celebrated my daughter’s birthday, I helped shoot 3 weddings, did makeup/hair for a wedding, had two portrait sessions (one who opted out of a blog post so unfortunately you won’t be seeing that one) and enjoying some family time during our October fall break! Phew!  This time of year is just busy all around  in general!  I really try to limit my sessions as well as weddings a year to make sure I am at my full creativity, short turn around for processing, and availability for my clients as well as my family.  Which is one reason why I haven’t done mini sessions too.  However I have gotten many inquiries and requests for them so maybe one day or next holiday season! 

So what’s up?? I notice too I haven’t had the time to just ramble like I used to on my blog!  I am so serious now, blah!  Who wants to see pictures all the time right? I like funny stories and random stuff too, Ha! Well, I am gonna try to get back to my regularly schedule of blogging and rambling.  I have worked on a few projects too this summer that I want to share with you guys too! Hopefully have some fun stuff for Halloween and the upcoming Holidays.  Until then here is a little guy I have shot many times and is now turning the big ONE!

She is the sweetest content baby ever……..I want her!  She really makes me want to have another! She looks alot like how my babies did when they were little.  Her  brother actually looks a lot like my nephew. It is so cool that both my mother-in-law and her sister have Asian grandchildren. Well here she is!

My husband’s aunt and her grandbaby.  My daughter calls her Sleeping Judi. Somehow along the way when she little she thought she was Sleeping Beauty and the nickname stuck……..

I had picked up these petitecoat skirts at Costco for them and wanted to get some pictures of them together.  My niece actually asked my sister for framed pictures for her wall! They are so cute and were so excited.  They love each other so much, get along so well, and never fight.  Unlike my lil’ sister and I when we were young!  My sister and I are very close now and love to see them together.  They always get so giddy and giggly when people think they are sisters!  They are so blessed  to have such a great relationship.  Aren’t they the cutest?

Most people I know have Kings or California Kings.  We used to sleep on a FULL!  Funny too because we went to Vegas once and had this Huge bed and we hated it! We have to touch when we sleep. So with me, my husband, and the kiddos in the bed this morning I felt a little like Charlie in the Chocolate Factory. Squished, but feeling so incredibly happy and proud. We had my son’s refresher swim lesson and he is a ROCKSTAR! And that is what his teacher said, not me!  Feeling happy and proud.  Then we go to see Charlotte’s Web for the Harkins Summer Movie Fun.  My 5YO looks at me with her eyes welling up when she see that the other pig won the blue ribbon and asks me “Mommy did Charlotte keep her promise? Did she?!? Did she?!?”.  She has such a wonderful heart that little girl.  And she really understands too.  Feeling happy and proud again. 

So I come home and read my google reader and see that my friend is having a LOVE NOTE contest. You all should enter.  I don’t know what the prize is, but it’s fun and she’s fabulous. As soon as I saw that I thought to myself, “oh I got lots of those”. My husband is a huge note writer.  I have a pile. He leaves them posted to my car door so I won’t see it until I leave some where. I hesitated about blogging this just because I don’t want him to kill me!  Eeek!  But heck, Feeling so happy and proud to be his wife.  I don’t even know if he reads my blog regularly. We will see.  I know my MIL does. You have a great son. My favorite one is one he wrote before we were married. And yes baby, it is the most beautiful life!

So as you can see it has just been one of those emotional days for me. I guess this is my LOVE NOTE to them (and the whole wide world!). My family.  Who I love more than anything. Who make me oh so happy and proud. No place I would rather be but here. I have the best babies and partner in the world! xoxo~ Love you guys.

UPDATE:

Okay so I guess I did it wrong and wasn’t supposed to write about love notes but leave them too!! So my daughter and I  doodled some and gussied them up and S.W. A. K.!  We put them in his laptop.  Excited for him to find them tonight when he gets home!  This is Fun!  My daughter has now written 5 more love notes while I typed! Hahaha! Now you try! Let’s help Jeanette start a LOVE NOTE REVOLUTION!!!

Look at her detail, seriously! She sprinkled candy from the candy she got at school on the table!  I didn’t even know she had some of the stuff she used.  She had taken styrofoam and some cardboard from the new crockpot I bought, our little “eggbeater” that we’ve had for years, added paper flowers to the vase, and used an Easter card that my sister sent them in the mail.   Maybe she will go into the wedding industry too as an event designer!
